Bringing Joy to Filipino Seniors Community
In an inspiring new chapter for Live Easy Hubs, we are proud to announce our partnership with the Philippine Australian Society for Senior Citizens Inc. (PASSCI). This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our mission to empower seniors to live life to the fullest, fostering connections and creating vibrant communities where everyone can thrive.
Our journey with PASSCI began on a high note as we joined in celebrating their 39th anniversary with a grand lunch event at the RSL Merrylands, NSW. The event was a joyous occasion, filled with laughter, dancing, and the warm spirit of the Filipino community. As the sprightly 90 year old opened the day with a graceful waltz, it was clear that age is no barrier to enjoying life. Our very own Accounts Officer, Shiela Bien, took to the dance floor with energy and enthusiasm, embodying the lively atmosphere that defines these gatherings.
The celebration brought together an inspiring group of individuals, including Recy Ago, the President of PASSCI, and Father Paul, the Parish Priest of All Saints Catholic Church in Liverpool. We were also honoured to have Filipino Sisters from Scalabrini Bexley —Sr. Elsie Yntig, Sr. Ritzlou Arlan, and Sr. Ana Baligasa—join us for the festivities. Representing Live Easy Hubs were Rizza Salvador, Village Manager at Scalabrini Bexley, Richard De Haast, our CEO Scalabrini, and Anna Wilson, our Live Easy Hubs Manager, who shared in the excitement of the day.
The partnership between Live Easy Hubs and PASSCI is more than just an alliance; it is a commitment to enhancing the lives of seniors within the Filipino community. PASSCI has long been a pillar of support for Filipino seniors, offering a space where they can socialize, share meals, and celebrate their rich cultural heritage. By joining forces, Live Easy Hubs aims to bring additional support and resources to these monthly meetings, ensuring that seniors have the assistance they need to manage their daily lives while staying connected and engaged.
